Bill and I embarked on a delightful outing, savoring the tranquility of nature while relishing the beauty of the mountains on the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway. Despite Bill’s ongoing recovery, we kept our adventure low-key, enjoying the lingering winter landscapes and the nostalgia-inducing melodies playing in the background.

Winter Wonderland
As we traversed the winding roads, we marveled at the majestic frozen lakes and streams adorned with blankets of snow. The pristine white landscapes painted a picture of serenity, inviting us to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the mountains.

Charming Central City
Driving through the streets of Central City, we were captivated by the charm and character of this historic town. The quaint architecture and bustling atmosphere added to the allure of our scenic drive.

Exploring Allenspark
A stop at Eagle Plumes near Allenspark treated us to a glimpse of history, as we explored the treasures of this historic trading post established in 1917. The art and crafts of the American Indian added a touch of cultural richness to our journey.

Chapel on the Rock
Our journey led us to the iconic Chapel on the Rock, a symbol of faith and resilience celebrating its 101st anniversary. As we stood before the Chapel on the Rock, we were humbled by the sense of peace and tranquility that enveloped us. In the midst of nature’s grandeur, we found solace in the quiet beauty of this sacred sanctuary.

Memorable Moments in Estes Park
Arriving in Estes Park, we couldn’t resist a visit to my favorite coffee and stationary store, where I indulged in a new journal to capture the memories of our adventure. Nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery, we took a moment to reflect by the tranquil Thompson River, soaking in the serenity of the surroundings. And no trip would be complete without a final stop at the Dam store, where we picked up some souvenirs to commemorate our journey.
