As our Lake Powell adventure continued into its second day, we set our sights on the serene waters of the Escalante River Arm, eager to uncover the treasures hidden within its labyrinthine canyons. With our faithful companions Prince and Lennon by our side, we embarked on a journey of exploration and discovery.

Discovering a Riverside Haven:
Upon reaching the Escalante River Arm, we were greeted by the gentle flow of the river and the mesmerizing sight of little black fish darting beneath the surface. Prince, our ever-curious dog, found delight in watching the water as we searched for the perfect spot to set up camp. After finding our riverside haven, we wasted no time in making ourselves at home, ready to immerse ourselves in the tranquility of our surroundings.

Kayaking Amongst Canyon Kisses:
With our kayaks in tow, we set out to explore the myriad side canyons and alcoves that dotted the Escalante River Arm. The calm waters of the river provided the perfect canvas for our adventure, as we glided effortlessly through narrow passages and beneath towering sandstone cliffs. Water dripped from the rocks above, creating a symphony of sound that echoed through the canyon walls. Each twist and turn revealed new wonders, and we reveled in the joy of discovery.

Relaxing by the Riverside:
After a day of exploration, we returned to our riverside camp to unwind and soak in the beauty of the natural world around us. While Prince and Lennon frolicked on the beach, we took a moment to reflect on the history of the river, named for the intrepid explorer Father Silvestre Velez de Escalante. As the afternoon sun dipped towards the horizon, casting a golden glow over the landscape, we felt a profound sense of peace and contentment.

Day two of our Lake Powell adventure was a testament to the beauty and tranquility of the Escalante River Arm. From kayaking through canyon kisses to relaxing on the riverside beach, we were reminded of the timeless allure of nature and the joy of exploring its hidden gems. As we settled in for another peaceful night beneath the stars, we felt grateful for the opportunity to experience the wonders of Lake Powell in all their splendor.
