In celebration of Bill’s milestone 50th birthday, we embarked on a thrilling adventure with our friends to tackle the Ouray Via Ferrata’s downstream route. Rated at 4B, this exhilarating journey promised breathtaking views and heart-pounding challenges as we traversed the rugged terrain of the Uncompahgre River canyon. Join us as we recount our unforgettable experience conquering the Via Ferrata and creating cherished memories along the way.
Exploring the Via Ferrata:
As we set out on the downstream route of the Ouray Via Ferrata, we were immediately struck by the natural beauty surrounding us. The Uncompahgre River flowed gently below us, its clear blue-green waters providing a stunning backdrop for our adventure. The route itself presented a series of thrilling obstacles, including narrow rock ledges, challenging climbs, and exhilarating cable traverses.

Thrills and Laughter:
Despite the adrenaline-inducing challenges, our spirits remained high as we navigated the Via Ferrata with determination and teamwork.
