Our journey at Glendo State Park continued with the promise of new experiences and cherished moments, each unfolding with its own unique charm and beauty.
We began the day with a delectable breakfast of cinnamon rolls, bacon, and fresh berries, savoring the flavors of summer as we indulged in the comforts of our trailer. The aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, adding a touch of warmth to the crisp morning air.

Eager to explore, we embarked on a leisurely stroll to the marina, where the promise of coffee beckoned us to start the day on a caffeinated note. Dasher, our ever-enthusiastic companion, led the way, his excitement palpable as he eagerly grabbed Lennon’s leash, signaling his readiness for adventure.
Despite the winds keeping us away from the lake, the day proved perfect for hiking, with the rugged beauty of the North Platte River and the surrounding Red Canyon captivating our senses. Along the Wetlands trail, we marveled at the tranquil beauty of the river, its gentle currents whispering tales of serenity and solitude.
As we journeyed further, Dasher’s curiosity led us to a delightful encounter with a tiny turtle, its presence a reminder of the intricate wonders of nature that surrounded us. With each step, we found ourselves immersed in the tranquility of our surroundings, grateful for the simple pleasures and cherished moments that defined our summer adventure at Glendo State Park.
