Our journey begins with a drive along a rugged 4WD road, setting the stage for the adventure that lies ahead. Despite its challenges, the road rewards us with glimpses of the majestic Continental Divide, igniting a sense of anticipation for the wilderness that awaits beyond the trailhead.

Arriving at the cirque and alpine lake, nestled at an elevation of around 10,600 feet, we are greeted by a panorama of awe-inspiring peaks. Mount Audubon, Paiute Peak, and Sawtooth mountains tower above us, their rugged beauty a testament to the raw power of nature. Surrounded by such majesty, we are reminded of the importance of preserving and protecting these pristine wilderness areas for future generations to enjoy.
