Our adventure through the Rockies commenced with a wintry welcome as we bid farewell to Colorado and set our sights on Utah. The journey was not without its challenges, as we found ourselves contending with a medley of weather phenomena, from howling winds that seemed intent on thwarting our progress to an unexpected encounter with a sandstorm, its fury laced with rocks rather than sand, and finally, the gentle descent of snowflakes, adding a touch of winter whimsy to our springtime sojourn.

Undeterred by nature’s capricious temperament, we pressed on, our determination buoyed by the promise of exploration and discovery that awaited us amidst the rugged landscapes of Moab and its environs. The stunning desert scenery would served as our home for the first few nights of our journey. As we navigated the twists and turns of the desert trails, our trusty companion, the rooftop tent (RTT) trailer, stood steadfast, a symbol of resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity.

Our camper is our beloved base, but when the trails get rough, our overlanding trailer steps in. Amidst our travels, questions arose about our RTT trailer, prompting us to share glimpses of our trusty mobile abode against the stunning desert backdrop. Thanks to Bill’s upgrades, like the sturdy unistrut frame and beefier axle, along with off-road tires for better clearance, our trailer tackled even the toughest terrain with ease. Plus, with the added water tank for showers, cleaning up and our dirty hands , it’s become an essential part of our off-grid adventures.

As we ventured four days into the remote backcountry, our trailer performed like a champ, effortlessly navigating treacherous terrain while providing a sanctuary of comfort amidst the wild expanse. Our journey through Utah’s rugged terrain tested our resolve and stretched our limits, but the rewards were immeasurable. Each turn revealed new vistas, new challenges, and new connections to the untamed beauty.
