Accompanied by our beloved adventure companions, Lennon and Prince, Bill and I embarked on a delightful kayaking adventure to Lost Lake near Paonia. Nestled within the picturesque Ruby Mountain Range, Lost Lake is renowned for its breathtaking vistas and the vibrant regional wildflowers that adorn the landscape through early August.
A Day of Kayaking Fun:
As we paddled across the serene waters of Lost Lake, Prince’s enthusiasm for kayaking was palpable, his tail wagging with excitement. Lennon, on the other hand, seemed a bit hesitant during his first kayaking experience, but with gentle reassurance, he soon found his sea legs. Despite a few initial uncertainties, everyone managed to stay dry, and we relished in the tranquility of the surroundings.
Snack Break with Scenic Views:
Finding a charming spot along the lakeshore, we decided to take a break and indulge in a snack while allowing Lennon and Prince to explore their surroundings. As Bill and I enjoyed the impressive views of the majestic East and West Beckwith Peaks towering in the distance, our furry companions frolicked and played nearby, adding to the joyous ambiance of the moment.
Cherished Memories Amidst Nature’s Splendor:
Our day at Lost Lake was filled with laughter, exploration, and moments of pure serenity amidst the stunning beauty of the Ruby Mountain Range. As we paddled back to shore, our hearts were full of gratitude for the opportunity to share such a memorable experience with our beloved dogs, Lennon and Prince. Lost Lake had indeed left an indelible impression on us, and we looked forward to returning for more adventures in the future.
